crooked and steep

So, life is pretty dreamy here, I am not going to lie.  Sometimes I get choked up simply taking in the spectacular beauty or thinking of the friends we have reconnected with/are making here.  But, let's be real.  There are rough moments + chores + challenges, too. So this post might be a little more subdued as we go through the everyday sort of stuff we've been up to these past few weeks.    Let's start with water. We have a brackish well on the property but never pursued the permits to flush it/use it so we have all of our water trucked in.  The guys who bring it are great and it is affordable + convenient, but also a process as we have a large tank on the ground, one on the roof of the shed, and one down the hill.  So here I am putting gas in our pump to get it up on the roof for better gravity feed.   I also have the job of checking the level on the roof.  Which I secretly like because the view up there is magnificent. Now that we got all those colossal driving adventures out of our systems, we have enjoyed exploring more locally.  And since yesterday was a love-versary (27 years) and tomorrow is our wedding anniversary (19 years) I thought I'd start with a fun photo of us love birds on a family father's day date in Todos Santos. Let me go ahead and get Led Zeppelin stuck in your head, too, as I say good times, bad times, you know we've had our share.  Being back in Baja has brought on a deluge of super fun reflections of those early wild + carefree days, as well as some painful memories before we knew what the heck we were doing.  Okay, so we still haven't figured it all out by a long shot, but we've worked hard + I can happily say I have never felt so grateful + full of joy about life + our relationship as I am today.   Continuing on my ultra corny path I am just going to say how fantastically lucky I am and how much I love + adore these punks!
